Make the Shift: You probably already know the answer

Apr 07, 2026

In this month’s The Shift, we looked at how hesitation often has less to do with missing information and more to do with trusting your own judgment. In fact, decision fatigue isn’t always the result of too many decisions. Often, it’s because you’re second-guessing the ones you’ve already made

Let’s make that idea practical.

Set aside ten minutes and consider this question:

What decision have I been agonizing over, even though I already know the direction I’m leaning?

Write it down.

Then ask yourself a second question:

What would I decide today if I didn’t have to worry about being right?

Don’t worry about whether the decision is perfect. A decision is nothing more than a choice you’ve made based on the information you had at the time. It’s not a good decision or a bad decision at the time. You can only tell that in retrospect. And then, armed with new information, you can make a new decision.hat

What most firm owners actually need isn’t more information. You need a sandbox to consider scenarios, test your thinking, hear it reflected back, and move forward without spiraling.

Helping you make this shift, to trust your judgment and make decisions that redesign your practice, is exactly what we do in our coaching programs: Individual Coaching and Group Coaching.
